Secretary: Marian Parry We meet at the Parish Centre on the 1st Tuesday of the Month. Beginning with a light sandwich lunch at 12.30, this is followed at 1pm by a short, simple act of worship, followed by a Speaker. We finish at approx 2.30 in time to pick children up from school. The Mothers' Union is a Christian charity with over 3.5 million members in 75 countries. We support a wide range of global projects and programmes from farming initiatives, HIV/AIDS awareness and literacy in Africa to parenting groups, contact centres, work in prisons and family holidays in the U.K. This year our Branch is supporting the two Deanery Projects. The ongoing project at the Neo Natal unit of the Royal Berkshire Hospital and the "Away From It All Holidays" This is a Mothers' Union run project for families who are in desperate need of a holiday but for various reasons are unable to arrange one themselves. We are a very friendly group who would be pleased to see you at any or all of our meetings, everyone is welcome.
